About the Program
This informative program will instruct you on how to effectively use Casemaker, the Connecticut State Bar’s comprehensive, online legal research tool available exclusively to members and now includes CasemakerPRO free with membership. CasemakerPRO is a package of premium products designed to enhance Casemaker’s capabilities, as well as provide you with valuable new services – CaseCheck+, Casemaker’s citator that identifies whether or not your case law citations are still good law; CasemakerDigest provides a first look into the most recent decisions handed down by the state and federal courts; and CiteCheck, a personal cite checker for a pleading, brief or other document. A step-by-step demonstration will reveal the wealth of information available to you and will demonstrate key features.

Attorney Skeeles began working for Casemaker© in August 2013 as a national professional speaker and legal research expert. She is a 1994 graduate of the Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. She received her Juris Doctor from Capital University Law School in 1999. She received Dean’s List honors at both schools. Rebecca is a member in good standing of the Ohio Bar since 1999, Supreme Court of Ohio. She is also a member of the Columbus Bar Association. She offers legal research services, public speaking, and specializes in business law.

Rebecca Skeeles served as Attorney Services Consultant for six years for the Ohio State Bar Association (OSBA) from 2007-2013. In this role, she traveled Ohio training on Casemaker. She provided professional training to the Ohio legal community, including law firms, corporations, government agencies, courts, and the nine Ohio law schools. She provided online training and webinars on Casemaker, as well as the other OSBA computer-based products, including the OSBA Report Online, Ohio Docs, Officekeeper and the E-books library. She also managed the OSBA’s In-House CLE program and served as the OSBA Liaison for the OSBA Jury Instructions Committee.

She returned to her family business Skeeles Manufacturing Inc. (SMI) in January 2013. She currently serves as Vice-President and Corporate Counsel. In business since 1991, SMI fabricates and installs quartz, granite, natural stone, laminate, and solid surface countertops. They also provide commercial custom casework and plastic fabrication.

Rebecca Skeeles has owned and shown Arabian and Half-Arabian horses competitively her entire life. She understands equine law and represents clients on equine law on all aspects from purchase agreements, contracts, and negotiations to negligence.
